About Mapper
Mapper is a separate product to designed specifically for use by consultants to upload data into the system from externally created files.
When it is required to be used by a Client, it will be necessary for the client to purchase the license for the product and complete the appropriate training course to become certified in the use of this product.
Prerequisites
Obtaining a Licence Key
A licence key must be obtained and registered on the system.
Obtaining the licence key
To create a licence key, the iSeries Serial Number and Processor Group must be ascertained by logging on the iSeries. On the command line, enter:
'WRKLICINF'and press Enter to access the Work with License Information screen.
Make a note of the System serial number and Processor group as displayed at the top of the screen.
On the Command Line enter:-
'ADDLIBLE EBATTOLS' and press Enter.
'CRTEBALIC'and press [F4].
Type the iSeries Serial number and Process ID in the relevant fields.

Licence Period __________*PERMANENT
Concurrent Users ________*UNLIMITED
Installing the Licence Key
On the command line enter:-
'WRKEBALIC'and press Enter, where the Work with eBiz Accelerator Licences is displayed.
Press [F6] to add a new record and enter the following:-
New Licence Type _________MAP
New Licence Code _________Enter the licence code previously noted.
Press Enter.
The new licence status will be displayed on the screen.
Update the NETFUNC file
The NETFUNC file must be updated with the Mapper details.
To update the NETFUNC file with details of the Mapper requirements, on the command line inside the database to be registered, enter:-
'UPDDTA NETFUNC' and Press Enter.
Press [F6] to add a new record.
On the Work with Data in a File window a large number the fields can be left blank. The following must be completed:-

Mapper I
Mapper I uses a separate batch and validation update process used to validate data entered via the screen.
Mapper II
Mapper II is designed to replicate the screen validation so that any field or screen changes will automatically mean that the Mapper functionality is compatible.
Files can be uploaded using three different methods:
- Activity ID - This option uploads files using Mapper II.
- Uploading files using PAY02T files - This option uploads files using Mapper I.
- Uploading files without validation - This option uploads files using Mapper I.
